Final Reflection

This lyrical poem project was one of the most fun I have ever done in school. I enjoyed playing around with the Ipads, and really constructing the whole project on such a simple device. Mr. Yaffa's tutorial videos really helped me in my creation of the video with some applications/programs I had never used before. One thing I would recommend for next time is more blog posts for us to do as students, I really enjoyed blogging. Also maybe even more resources on the main blog page. Thank you Mr. Yaffa for such a fantastic assignment.

Why I like T.I's Whatever You Like

This song is my absolute jam! T.I. is by far my favorite artist right now, I love everything he puts out. I think that Whatever You Like is talking about the amount of money and power he has and how he can use it to get women. T.I. has a life I would love to live. The song has a catchy beat and good lyrics that I think will be fun to analyze like a lyrical poem. One day I want to be able to go wherever I want.

Miley Cyrus Song Response

Today Mr. Yaffa showed us one of his favorite current songs in Miley Cyrus' Party in the USA. The song is not one of my favorites and I think it is extremely overrated, however it does seem to have some decent lyrical content. She seems to be telling the story of why it was hard to transition from her country lifestyle growing up to living in a big city like Los Angeles.

A lot of poems we have been reading in class are about struggle so I can see the connection between her song lyrics and true poetry.
